Phew… almost at the end of the year! Just time for a winter update though, as there’s a lot going on in the studio at the moment. Interior design projects in both town and country, and some commercial design work mixed in with our usual private client residential design projects.
In Town… Chelsea, London
In London we’ve recently started on site working on the home of a previous client. We’re adapting part of their guest accommodation to include a home gym.
This will be complete very soon and it’ll result in an adaptable space – still well-suited for guests, and now for the rest of the time it will be a space that the client can get a lot more use from. This is a stunning home gym – very high performance yet compact, adaptable, beautifully finished, and sympathetic to inclusion in a domestic environment.
Alongside this adaptation the adjacent shower room has also been redesigned and is currently being refitted.
Chelsea Harbour & Fulham
In the Design Centre at London’s Chelsea Harbour we’re working with a UK manufacturer on a display presence in the Design Centre.
A designer and maker of exquisitely-made interior fittings, it’s an exciting project, and also a chance to be closely involved with a manufacturer. I am sure that we will be proposing some of their products on upcoming projects too.
And in nearby Fulham we’ve been consulting with an estate management company on the redesign and overhaul of the reception spaces in some of their prime residential buildings. Our concept is to transform the spaces into luxurious and welcoming environments – much more befitting of the entrances to these high-value residential properties.
River Thames
On the River Thames we’ve started on a full redesign and refurbishment of another riverside apartment. We’ve also helped the client with the licence application and all permissions for the work in this tightly-managed block, as we always do to make life easier for our clients. We expect to start work on site in the first quarter next year.
In the Country… still on the River Thames!
Outside London we’re working with a couple in South Oxfordshire on a full redesign and redecoration of their large family home. This project is on the River Thames too, albeit some way from London….
As well as redecorating throughout we’re designing a new kitchen and bathrooms to reflect their style and their aspirations for the property. We’re designing a home to for them to enjoy for the next twenty years there.
Well we’ve almost made it to the holidays, but we’re also very excited about the work we have to look forward to in the New Year…
