We had a fantastic time last week at KBB Magazine’s annual Design Awards. Although we didn’t win our category of Bathroom Designer of the Year, we are still so proud to have been selected as one of just four finalists from across the UK for one of our London projects. It was a great evening and a chance to catch up with design industry colleagues too.
This is the bathroom that caught the judges eyes – a striking design in Carrara marble and Murano glass. The unusual combination of classic materials in this South Kensington property results in a unique and luxurious bathroom:
I’d like to show you a bit more of the project too. Here’s the principal bedroom, with bespoke wardrobes and joinery featuring built-in LED lighting. The upholstered bed was made especially for the project and hides further storage:
In the kitchen we combined sleek, handleless cabinets with a cement-tiled splashback. These tiles were made for us in custom colours by Bisazza in Italy, and the pattern carefully designed to create this random effect:
In the sitting room we designed a bespoke storage and display unit in American black walnut. As well as shelving and space for objets, this houses the television and also incorporates some of the AV equipment:
We fitted a new oak timber herringbone parquet floor to the rest of the property – a smart and timeless finish for this period Knightsbridge / South Kensington property:
