It was such a joy to work on this project. A modernist gem that had been slightly neglected, I worked with the clients to sympathetically update the property. The approach to the house is wonderful, although it didn’t prepare me for this extraordinary staircase which greets you as you enter.
We restored original elements, brought in new finishes to match the originals, designed a kitchen and bathrooms that were suitable for modern living, and selected modernist furniture that felt right at home against the mid-century backdrop.
Everything about the project was bringing in the new, yet always respecting and in keeping with the feel of the original architecture.
