Hello. We’re an architectural interior design studio working in Poole and along the Dorset coast.
We provide high-end interior design in Poole, creating refined, beautifully functional homes for private clients across the area — including Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs and Branksome Park. Since 2007, we have designed elegant, thoughtfully detailed interiors for waterfront apartments, contemporary family homes and character properties in this part of Dorset. Every project is shaped by how our clients live, and by the landscape and architecture of this part of the south coast.
I believe the architectural design and interior decoration of our homes can have a profound influence on our lives and our wellbeing.
Home in a coastal town like Poole plays many roles: a retreat, a gathering place, a base for busy lives, and a setting for rest and restoration. A well-designed interior supports each of these moments — and just as importantly, shapes how we feel within them.
That sense of ease doesn’t happen by chance. It comes from intelligent, highly tailored design: shaped around who you are, how you live, and what you need your home to do. Seeing clients experience comfort, delight and calm in a transformed space is why we do what we do.

Stephen Dick, Interior Designer

Interior Designer in Poole – Our Studio
We specialise in private residential interiors and design-led renovations across Poole and the surrounding coast, offering a complete service from concept to completion. Our Poole projects often include space planning and architectural remodelling, bespoke joinery, lighting design, furnishing, styling and procurement — with meticulous attention to detail at every stage and careful coordination throughout.
Poole’s setting: harbour, coastline, woodland
Poole’s appeal lies in coastal light, harbour views and established, design-led neighbourhoods — a context that suits interiors that feel calm, confident and beautifully made. It’s an idyllic location by the sea, and our style of interiors perfectly complements this meeting of natural beauty and elegant, modern design. The area’s character is defined by contrasts: expansive water views and sheltered treelines; contemporary architecture and established coastal neighbourhoods; bright summer light and quieter winter months. We design interiors that work year-round — resilient enough for coastal living, yet always elegant.
The challenges of designing around Poole
Coastal homes bring specific design challenges — from salt air and strong daylight to durability and year-round comfort. We specify finishes that are beautiful and robust enough for seaside living, without compromising on elegance. Natural timber, stone and woven textures bring warmth against bright light; layered neutrals and tonal colour create calm; and well-considered lighting adds softness after sunset.
How Poole shapes our interior design work
Across our projects in Poole and the wider Dorset coastline, we return to the same principles: clarity of layout, comfort, and quiet luxury. Whether your home is a contemporary apartment in Sandbanks or a larger property in Canford Cliffs or Branksome Park, we aim for interiors that feel timeless, practical and deeply personal.

Testimonials from our clients
We have extensive experience designing waterside homes (harbour, riverside and coastal) – the projects below show a selection of that work
Waterfront Home, Hamble, Hampshire
A remodelling of two waterfront townhouses on the River Hamble to create a striking open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. Natural light and views were maximised; finishes were chosen to complement the extraordinary coastal light. A bespoke painted timber kitchen, designed exclusively for this client, allowed for integrated art shelving with custom lighting. Each space enjoys views across the water, with the sitting area oriented towards The Solent to create a relaxed yet social retreat.
Riverside Penthouse, London
Extensive remodelling and contemporary redesign of a penthouse apartment on London’s River Thames, with a new interior to make the most of the natural light, its fabulous location, and the views across London’s skyline. An International Design Excellence Award finalist, striking, luxurious finishes combine with bespoke joinery and meticulous detailing to create an exceptional result throughout this beautiful waterside home.
Riverside Apartment, Chelsea Harbour, London
A glamorous redesign and full refurbishment of this riverside apartment at Chelsea Harbour. With a revised layout designed to maximise the natural light and the views over the water, the open plan sitting room and dining room form a magnificent entertaining space. Custom-made furniture was designed to fit the space exactly, with luxurious fabrics and upholstery combined with contemporary joinery and accessories. A layered lighting scheme introduces sculptural, cast glass pendants with recessed LED lighting, highlighting the backdrops of custom-decorated wallcoverings and luxurious, upholstered panelling.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a particular interior design style for Poole homes?
Not one single style — although Poole’s coastal setting suits subtle, consistent influences. Many clients are drawn to interiors that feel calm and light-filled, grounded in natural materials, with an emphasis on comfort and practicality.
We design homes that respond to their setting while remaining deeply personal to each client.

Do we work with local makers and suppliers?
Yes. We have a wide range of specialist suppliers, craftspeople, makers and contractors, including around Poole and Dorset.
Where possible, sourcing locally can support craftsmanship, reduce transport and help reinforce a home’s sense of place — while choosing the best partners for the project above all else.
Which areas of Poole do you cover?
We work across Poole, including Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs and Branksome Park, as well as Lilliput, Parkstone and the surrounding areas. If your home is in or around Poole, we’d be delighted to discuss your project.
