Hello. We’re an architectural interior design studio working throughout London.

As interior designers in London, we work across the city, shaping distinctive, beautifully functional homes for private clients.

Since 2007, we have designed elegant and inspiring interiors for London’s period townhouses, contemporary penthouse apartments and modern riverside flats.

Each London interior design project is different, and each client has their own way of living — understanding this is at the heart of our design process.

I believe the architectural design and interior decoration of our homes can have a profound influence on our lives and our wellbeing.

Home in a city like London plays many roles: a retreat, a workspace, a gathering place and a backdrop to daily life. A thoughtfully designed interior supports each of these moments — and just as importantly, shapes how we feel within them.

This is achieved through thoughtful, intelligent and highly personalised design: a response to who you are, how you live and what you value. Seeing clients experience delight and comfort in a transformed space — and feeling the emotional shift their home now brings — is why we do what we do.

Stephen Dick, Interior Designer

We specialise in private residential interiors and design-led developments across London. From Georgian squares and Victorian townhouses to modernist apartments and contemporary riverside penthouses, our work spans the full breadth of London’s architecture.
We offer a complete interior design service from concept through to installation, with each project tailored thoughtfully to its client and context.

London Homes, Designed with Sensitivity and Character

London’s architectural diversity is extraordinary — Victorian terraces sit alongside converted warehouses; mid-century developments neighbour Georgian squares. We love the variety of designing London homes: responding to each building’s character alongside the client’s story that drew them to it, and respecting their original character while ensuring they meet the demands of modern living.

The unique challenges of interior design in London

London is a densely populated city, with high property values and often compact living spaces. Designing homes here often involves working intelligently with space, light and flow, and designing creatively with layout to support modern living. Period properties often have complex layouts, and we have great experience in unlocking the potential of these properties for our clients. More contemporary developments, particularly flats and apartments, require close coordination with freeholders, building managers or surveyors. We handle this process fully, ensuring all necessary approvals and licences are obtained smoothly — and we have a 100% record in gaining permission for the interior design alterations we propose.

London’s influence on our interior design work

Across our interior design work in London, a consistent thread emerges: the need for spaces that feel calm, functional and beautifully resolved. We design interiors that bring clarity and serenity to even the most dynamic urban settings — homes that balance practicality with quiet luxury.
The result is thoughtful, finely crafted interiors that feel deeply personal and deeply comfortable, reflecting both the character of the city and the individuality of the people who live in it.

Testimonials from our clients across London

Stephen helped me with a full refurbishment of my flat and I absolutely cannot recommend him enough.

From start to finish Stephen was an absolute lifesaver:
– Keeping a large and complex project running smoothly (and on budget)
– Had meticulous attention to detail – everything was perfect
– Thinking outside the box and translating my often vague ideas into stunning reality
– Finding beautiful finishes and fittings that I couldn’t even have thought of
– Managing various contractors and suppliers

And he did it all with a smile and positive attitude even when things weren’t going according to plan – always found a solution!

Thank you Stephen!

AE, Knightsbridge / South Kensington, London

Stephen possesses originality and conviction but is also very willing to listen and explain his ideas.

His attention to detail and commitment to high quality are also obvious but (unusually) he wants rooms that are practical and work within a budget – he doesn’t pitch the unrealistic.

I’d recommend Stephen without hesitation.

JB, Kingston upon Thames, London

From the start we found Stephen to be very astute in perceiving the kind of living space we were looking for, and very adept at discussing and developing ideas.

Overall, we were most impressed by his tremendously infectious enthusiasm during the entire process, his professionalism and acute attention to detail. Also notable was the very pro-active relationship he developed with our building contractor which went a long way to ensuring the construction phase ran as smoothly as could be expected. We have no qualms at all in recommending Stephen.

Most importantly of all of course, we absolutely love our new home.

A&DL, Hampstead, London

I cannot recommend Stephen highly enough. He combines a rare combination of expertise and experience and he was a true partner in the project to renovate and remodel my London townhouse.

He has a great eye and flair for imagining how the whole will come together harmoniously while being meticulous about every last detail. Stephen followed the project from inception to completion. At each stage he listened intently, took on board, interpreted and improved my ideas, adding his own and then presented a range of realistic options for how to proceed.

At each stage he made me aware of the costs and was conscious of the overall budget. It was a pleasure to work with Stephen. The results were splendid and I am delighted with my new home.

SF, Chelsea, London

I would have no reservation in recommending Stephen to friends.

He helped me to develop the design plans in a way that reflected the direction I wanted to go in while being practical and conscious about cost, lead times, and availability of materials. He coordinated suppliers and worked closely with contractors to make sure things were done on time and properly.

Stephen made all of the difference to turn what could have been unpleasant into into an experience that was both smooth and, dare I say it, enjoyable.

MN, Lambeth Bridge, London

Stephen combines a creative sense of design with a professional’s understanding of what is sensible. This combination results in very attractive and importantly very liveable space.

He is easy to work with and listens carefully to the full set of requirements — including budgetary.

I would immediately reach for Stephen again for any renovations or input to new build.

Barbican Estate, City of London

A modern interior redesign of a Grade II-listed Barbican Estate flat in the City of London. In this carefully considered design for one of London’s most iconic locations, we strived to preserve the spirit of the modernist interiors of the Barbican, while incorporating new joinery and contemporary finishes in a way that respected the character and intent of those original interiors. We gained Listed Building Consent for the reinstatement of original design details, as well as sympathetic alterations to support modern living. The interior design palette was driven by simplicity and continuity, with a consistency across the flat which strengthens the sense of place in this London landmark.
