It’s just been ‘Wool Week’ at London’s Chelsea Harbour Design Centre. Visitors were greeted by a flock of brightly coloured sheep dressed in fabrics, carpets and other wool textiles from the many designer showrooms there.
“Luxurious & lovely”, “irresistibly tactile”, “soft & sustainable” and “naturally beautiful” were the messages bleated to interior designers last week.
The flock have moved on now, but the wonderful wool-based fabrics are still available. We were there selecting some “luxurious and lovely” wool carpets for a current refurbishment project in London’s nearby Imperial Wharf development.
