Principal Bedroom Suite, Parson’s Green, Fulham, London
Complete redesign and fitting out of the principal bedroom suite of this home near Parson’s Green, London.
A beautiful main bedroom
We designed a light and welcoming bedroom as the centrepiece of this principal bedroom suite in Fulham, London.
New furnishings were made to match with the client’s existing antique pieces.
Traditional fabrics are used, including horsehair upholstery and cream silk striped window treatments.
A sleek, contemporary main bathroom
The main bathroom is a sleek and contemporary design.
Above the oversized basin is a large recessed mirror-fronted storage cabinet, with hidden LED lighting and frosted glass vanity lights fixed through.
A large bath tub at the end is fitted with a hidden filler, and the niche above for toiletries is lit from below, so there aren’t any direct light sources nearby when having a relaxing soak.
A well-appointed dressing room
In the dressing room we designed fitted wardrobes with internal illumination and a range of clothes storage. Finished with oak-trimmed faux suede door fronts and fitted with handles in hand-stitched bridle leather, these finishing touches bring softness and comfort to the room.
The silk stripe roman blind fabric echoes that of the bedroom, and by specifying a sofa bed this room can also be used as a self-contained extra guest room if needed.
This project in Parson’s Green, Fulham involved the complete reworking of the top floor of a London townhouse. The room layout was altered to provide an elegant principal bedroom with an adjoining dressing room as well as a sleek contemporary bathroom.
The bedroom is a relaxed and luxurious space, enriched by a silk wallcovering behind the bed and wall lights with integrated LED reading lamps. An elegant console table sits alongside an antique chair with horsehair upholstery. Custom-fitted furniture with antique mirror glass provides storage and display space.
In the dressing room, a wall of custom-built wardrobes maximises available storage. The wardrobe doors and the matching full-length dressing mirror combine oak timber with faux suede for softness. Luxurious finishing touches include hand-stitched leather handles.
Flexibility has been designed into the room layout as well, enabling the dressing room to be used as an occasional guest bedroom as required.
The bathroom is a calm and tranquil space that promotes wellness. The large bath tub with accent LED lighting is the perfect place to relax. A luxurious walk-in shower in a frameless glass enclosure is subtly enhanced with glass mosaic tiles. Above the generous basin, mirror-fronted storage with fitted vanity lighting maximises the feeling of space and light.
