As we head into the summer we’re working on a range of live projects at different stages. There’s always such variety in our work as our clients are all so individual and in different places. The various work stages add to this mix…
London
In London we’re on site with the refurbishment of riverside apartment near Lambeth Bridge. We’ve redesigned the bathrooms to introduce sleek new contemporary designs, as well as to make better use of the space. We’ve also designed new cupboards and wardrobes so that the client has much more storage space than before. It’s an interesting area of London to work in at the moment, with the vast regeneration that’s going on around Vauxhall and Nine Elms.
We’ve also been granted permission to go ahead with another refurbishment in this part of the capital. This project involves redesigning the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as updating the flooring and other finishes in the apartment. In a tightly-managed apartment block the permissions process can be complicated, although this is a normal part of the work we undertake – removing the stress and hassle for our clients.
And in Chelsea, a client we worked for in the past has come back to us to complete further design work on their home. We completed a renovation of their London townhouse a few years ago. Now we’re back to redesign a couple of parts of the interior that weren’t part of the previous project.
Surrey
Our clients in the Surrey Hills have now moved in to their new home. This was a full architectural interior design of a building conversion. It was a demanding space-planning challenge, and we’re all delighted with the results. I’d teased some work in progress from this Surrey Hills interior design project in the blog, and I’ll be adding completed photos in the near future.
Hampshire
We’ve just completed another project in Hamble. A self-contained guest apartment within a larger property, this is in a beautiful waterside location. The design concept was to create a sleek and clean style for the apartment, and I wrote about it on the blog recently in a feature on simple design solutions – there’ll be more to show on this soon.
In Portsmouth we’ve completed the first phase of our design work for a complete house overlooking the Solent. Building work is continuing apace and we look forward to returning later in the year to work on phase two.
And finally, our studio is a wonderful place, although after a few years I must admit it needs some TLC. Being too busy working for other people is something you can only say for so long! Watch this space for more progress later in the year…
