For all of our clients, storage and the organisation of their homes is incredibly important, and it’s a big part of what we help them with in any interior design project. Sometimes the focus is on making that storage look fantastic, and other times it’s a case of storing as much as possible in the most organised way.
Organised homes with inspiring ideas
In a feature on organised homes with inspiring ideas Homify have featured the study from the modern interior design project we undertook in Cambridge.
In this solution we provided a clean and sleek asymmetric shelving system as the backdrop to the study. With a gloss white finish this piece provides both a visual and textural contrast to the original blockwork of the structure of this home. And as you can see the books are organised by colour – I think they look fantastic set out this way.

With such light and simple forms the new shelving and desk complement the client’s existing mid-century furniture collection without trying to copy it, and the Eames soft pad chair is in keeping with the era of the original construction of the house.
Beautiful bicycle storage
There are lots of other great interior design and storage ideas in Homify’s article, and I particularly like this one by Interface Flooring, with the bicycle taking pride of place on the wall:

Ingenious interior design in an 8sqm apartment
Although when it comes to organisation, I don’t think anything can compare to the interior design of this 8 square metre apartment in Paris by Kitoko Studio that I wrote about previously here. Totally ingenious!
