Apartments on London’s River Thames are to be fully renovated
It’s always exciting when a large interior design project starts on site, and this week we’re especially excited as we have two projects starting in London! They’re a pair of riverside apartments on the River Thames, opposite the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
It’s a fabulous location in the centre of London, and with a fabulous view, and we’re so excited about the transformation that will follow to the interiors of our client’s homes.

Updating the kitchens, bathrooms and interior finishes
Little work has been done on the properties since the building was completed about 15 years ago, so it’s time for an update. As well as refitting the kitchens and bathrooms and renewing all of the flooring and internal finishes, we’re remodelling parts of both of the interior layouts in order to improve the spaces.
In one of the apartments we’re opening out the kitchen into the main living area, creating a fabulous open plan space which will make the most of the light and the views – it will be a fabulous place for entertaining. In the other we’re remodelling the design of the master suite so that the layout will provide a seamless journey between the master bedroom, fully-fitted dressing room and master bathroom.
We love taking existing layouts and redesigning them to improve how they work, and most importantly to meet clients’ specific briefs – this project is a perfect example.
Permissions for the interior designs
Once again on this project we’ve handled all of the permissions-related work on behalf of the client. Licences to alter are always required when working on buildings like this in London, and it’s something we have extensive experience of. We’re able to take away the hassle whilst also looking after the interests of our clients.
We were able to secure permission to make the layout changes and for other works including new flooring throughout the apartments and without any objections.
We’re using some very interesting finishes in the interior design of this project, and I’ll write more about it as it progresses.
