Just as we’ve started on site with two new interior design projects in London, we’re also bringing a couple to a close.
Knightsbridge / South Kensington – full interior design and refurbishment
Here in SW3 we’ve been working on the complete refurbishment of a duplex flat on the South Kensington Estate. It was in need of a full strip-out and complete replumbing and rewiring, and we worked with the client on renewing all of this ‘infrastructure’ first, as well as on all of the interior design and fit-out that followed.
New parquet flooring throughout
New parquet flooring has been installed throughout this London property, and we carried out all of the permissions and licence work for the client in order to make this possible. The flooring involved levelling works to achieve the very best finish, acoustic testing to ensure that noise would not be an issue, and liaising with specialist flooring suppliers in order to make this all happen for the client. The staircase was also refinished to complement the flooring, and I think the finished result is spectacular:
A beautiful new contemporary kitchen from Leicht and two striking new bathrooms were also fitted. We’ve used some unique and bespoke finishes to create some stunning, individual rooms, and I can’t wait to share these with you.
Smart home and AV systems
The smart home works are now complete, including the programming of the lighting controls, electric window treatments, the centralised AV system and the Nest smart home heating. The client has total control over the operation of services within the property, and can even control services remotely when away from the property. This is an important part of the work for us, and such systems are expected by many of our London clients.
I’ll be writing more about this project soon with case studies on some interesting individual elements of the design. We’ve also just done our interior photography of the project – this will be featuring in our interior design portfolio very soon.
